Remove parental control from my dad's phone

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Not really their fault that my dad pick the wrong birth year at set up. But hey... at least he is a teenager again! I am basically going to have change his email address to correct it. This was a Google account problem that Jitterbug / Lively has no control of.

Unable to activate new phone to for 5 business days

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I purchased a replacement jitterbug phone because my old one wasnt working anymore. When it arrived the instructions stated I needed to call Jitterbug and have my phone number transferred to my new phone.

I started calling the day it arrived. I was on hold with Jitterbug for more than 45 minutes then I would get disconnected. This happened 3 times the first day, 2 times the second day, the 3rd day I couldnt get thru at all, the 4th day I got right thru but the system was down and I was told to call back on the next business day and on the 5th day I couldnt get thru.

Finally on day 6 after waiting 38 minutes, I got a lovely representative who transferred my phone number and set up my new phone. Why did it take 5-6 days to complete this?

Data overuse issue

My mother switched to jitterbug with the understanding that it would lower her monthly bill. She was told that her bill would be $50/month and if she shut her phone off when not in use she wouldnt use data.

She was so concerned about using too much data that she rarely used the phone.

She did use the phone at times to play solitaire and crosswords, but turned the phone off whenever it was not in use. Her first auto pay bill was $453.90. When she called to question the bill she was told that she was supposed to press the back button before shutting the phone off to stop data use.

This feels like a company taking advantage of the elderly. She is now afraid to use her phone at all.

The phone is really of no use if shes afraid to have it on.

Not senior friendly at all. Looking into better options.

doesnt sound right at all, your phone ( anyones phone) should not be using data unless you are using a browser or app for example. i would either 1 if phone is paid off get unlocked 2- if can get unlocked port number to a better provider worse case scenerio new phone on new network

Lost all my contacts

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I have talked to two tech support reps because I lost all of my contacts and I keep getting a message that I need to clean out garbage but it doesn't let me do it. Neither one of reps fixed my phone. They told me to turn my phone off and back on in three minutes. It isn't fixed and neither rep called me back. What kind of customer service does this? How am I suppose to get my phone working again? I don't want to call again and go through the same process just to turn off my phone again and it isn't working. Help!

Disappointment in Flip2 phone

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Flip2 is touted as for the elderly, being easy to use. However, most elderly have limited eyesight (especially when they have Macular Degeneration as do I). Making the ;numbers larger on the key pad is pointless as mos today do not memorize phone numbers since they are programmed into the phone. What needs to be bigger and bolder is the writing on the Menu and all other writing i n the phone. I need a magnifier to be able to maneuver around the Menu and that defeats the purpose. Even my original Jitterbug Smart Phone has larger type and i'm wondering if I made a mistake to change.. Patt SulzbergerIf you
